Kilkenny Birthday – 22 December 1999
22 December 1999, Kilkenny, Ireland
I celebrated my birthday that year with a night in Kilkenny and a visit to its famous castle. It was a surprise to find a working photobooth located at McDonagh Station, as Kilkenny is a small town and Ireland has never been awash with them.

Hi Brendan. Yes, but I think I have been to Ireland 9 or 10 times now, so we MUST have crossed over one time at least! In the future I hope to be able to do one of your tours on a visit.

this is one of those points in time where almost everyone will remember where they were and whom they were with. i was in the caribbean on 22 dec, but came back to the uk for the milennium in pursuit of a female. i should have stayed where i was 🙂

Oh dear, Martin. That sounds like a sad story, but could also be a funny one from this distance? Yes, the carribean would have been a better place to enjoy the milennium celebrations if your were jilted at home. But the fireworks would have been more spectacular in the UK, eh? Always an upside to a disappointment, hopefully…

Oh, I thought the photo booth was in the Castle. Seems only appropriate for the Queen of the Photo Booths!
