Here is Becky again, a little older. This time she is on a day out with her friend, Pam Meadow. In her posing style, Pam is a little more serious and less creative than Becky. Maybe she is just less willing to make herself look like a complete fool. She has gorgeous Becks to do that job for her.
These were all taken on the same day. They are undated, but from the dates on other strips, they were probably taken in 1968.

This is wonderful that you have these pictures. I’m trying to remember my 7th grade and I have no idea where I was or what school I was attending or who my friends were.

I too have only the dimmest recollection of Grade 7 and with considerable effort I can remember which school it was (one of 14). I don’t think there are many photos of me from that year but I was frequently known to pull a face when the camera was aimed in my direction, much to my mother’s annoyance.

Academic with field research – my dad did some sabbaticals that involved multiple schools in one year in multiple countries, as well as an annual migration for the academic summer to a research station which meant a month or two of school somewhere else. And we moved cities once and the settling in to a new place resulted in extra schools too. My kids have all had the minimum number of schools possible, for a reason.

Wow, impressive and yet almost impossibly difficult for a child to have coped with. I can understand why you have protected your kids from the same experience but your Dad must have had a stellar career.

Actually, he still does – mid-80’s, still researching and publishing and travelling to field stations every summer.

Very impressive! My mum is bout to turn 84 and is still teaching violin. I admire her a lot but poor dad never gets a holiday!
