Old Friends – January 2001

photoboothJanuary2001
January 2001, Luna Park, Melbourne

Me with my travelling companion and friend, Helen. This was taken in my favourite photobooth at Luna Park in Melbourne. Helen was visiting from the UK.

This strip of photos comes from my series Photobooth 41 Year Project. You can see all the posts that document the series by clicking here. I am still adding to this project using mostly digital booths to create the images.

  1. Love it! You guys look like you had so much fun posing together. I had a photomaton strip of my best friend and I when we were both teens in 1994. And I lost it…UGH! Lovely strip.

What wonderful photographs, great emotive captures, poetic. You have inspired me to incorporate some photobooth action into my next shop venture

    • If you have the type of shop I’m thinking of (bricks and mortar type), make sure it is a dip and dunk chemical machine!! Glad this inspired you. If you’re talking about some sort of online store and you will be selling photobooth photos, please let me know. Thanks for visiting the blog. Kate

Oh no I don’t have a shop (yet). I just thought it would be fun to get some self portraits done next time I go walk about in the mall. No worries, you space is lovely 🙂
