22 January 1998, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Melbourne

A quick strip of photobooth photos after a trip to the cinema to see The Spice Girls‘ movie Spice World. I guess it was the only film we could all agree to see, as I was never a fan of that group.

This strip is part of the series Photobooth 41 Year Project. You can see all the posts that document the series by clicking here.

This strip was taken on the way to see a movie in Melbourne’s city centre. It was The Devil’s Advocate with Al Pacino. I hated it.

Rather than not include the many photos I have with people with whom I am no longer in touch and who I feel may be sensitive, I have decided to pixelate some faces. I wish to stay true to making this blog a document of the complete series by including all the photos, but without causing any offence.

For those of you who are new here, I took my first photobooth photo in 1973 at the age of 11 and have been continuing the series, on and off, since then. Read more about this project here, or click on the link above, Photobooth 41 Year Project.

Great faces on these two, eh? They must have been great friends to squeeze into a booth together. I wonder if they made the strip for their wives whilst on a trip to the city? They certainly look like country blokes.

This photo comes from the USA and is undated.

After reading the post 365 Days, 52 Weeks from WordPress’s own blog, I felt inspired to get back to
my personal chronology of booth photos, which was the inspiration for my starting this blog in 2011. I will endeavour to add at least one strip of photos from the series each week for the 52 weeks of 2013. So with that in mind, I start the year with the next in the series, below.

Happy New Year to you all. I hope 2013 is inspirational and fun for us all.

This strip was taken at a Melbourne train station, after I had been to visit my friend Liarne. I went to stay with her at a house she was renting at the seaside town of Torquay, where she still lives.

This strip is part of the series Photobooth 41 Year Project. You can see all the posts that document the series by clicking here.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks for all your support and great comments over the past twelve months.

I hope you are all looking forward to the holiday season as much as I am! See you all in 2013.

Through this blog I have come across other photobooth enthusiasts who share their photos online.

Meg from Denver, Colorado lives in France. At her blog De Quelle Planète Est-Tu? (What planet are you from?) she blogs about her travels and her life in Paris. She is very fond of automatic photo machines.

Below is a selection of some of the great photos from her archive of photobooth related posts, which you can see in full by clicking here.

Many thanks to Meg for permission to share these.
