Boring
POLICEMAN #2: [Chuckles] That’s a laugh, eh? Ain’t it?
POLICEMAN #1: What?
POLICEMAN #2: That sound you make in the back of your throat when you hear a joke.
POLICEMAN #1: Yeah, that’s a laugh. Yeah.
POLICEMAN #2: I thought so.
The Young Ones, Boring (1982)
Aaahh, the Young Ones. Haven’t seen them in ages. What a great show.
That gal looks like she’s having an awesome time!

I’m kind of scared to revisit the show. I don’t want to find out it isn’t as awesome as I remember it. The joke I quoted always stayed with me. The weirdness of the humour and the deadpan delivery by the actors cracked me up!
She does look like she is having a ball. Probably a “Who farted” joke! 😆

This is a wonderful picture that makes me want to laugh out loud. Isn’t it interesting how laughter is catching. I love it. I had to look up The Young Ones scripts to follow this through.

I agree, Tony! I think it is the genuine nature of the laugh that is so lovely and infectious.

My daughter and I had so many hilarious hours together watching “The Young Ones” when she was a teen!
